Mila’s Magic Moments Trip: Day 6

This was our last day at the Give Kids the World Village. We felt better and we decided to try out two last parks. We woke up early and the kids were surprised to find presents under the tree. We did our Christmas at home before we left, and the kids were prepared to not have presents to open on our trip. I braved Walmart a couple days ago, and I was able to surprise them.

Afterwards, we headed to Hollywood Studios and we were able to enter the park early. We rode all the Star Wars rides without waiting and we were on our way to Epcot on the Skyliner before 11am. We really enjoyed the rides!

Once in Epcot, we sampled a couple of French dishes. Then we found a Japanese restaurant to eat lunch at. It was so neat to see all the employees in authentic Japanese clothing. All of the employees had Japanese accents. Our Hibachi chef was from Japan. It was so good, but extremely expensive. One thing I was so impressed about in the World Tour part of Epcot, was that the workers were really from each particular country. In France, the workers that I spoke with were really from France and spoke with thick French accents. In Norway, it was the same at the Frozen ride. In Canada, they had a small replica of the Banff Springs Hotel. I loved that! Our last ride was the Soarin’ ride. I think that might have been my favorite ride. I just wish it was longer.

We had such a wonderful time on this trip. We are beyond grateful for all the amazing volunteers and financial donors at Give Kids the World and Magic Moments for making this trip possible for us. We will never forget it!
