Grand Canyon
We left very early this morning to see the Grand Canyon at sunrise. It was definitely worth it! All I can say is that it was amazing.
We decided to enter the Grand Canyon National Park from the south rim east entrance. Our first view of the canyon was at the Desert View point.
The rock tower blended right in with the gorgeous scenery.
The glow from the morning sun on the rocks was so beautiful.
After watching the sunrise at Desert View, we drove along the rim towards the Grand Canyon Village stopping at the scenic viewpoints along the way.
We saw lots of wildlife.
Katy read the book, Brighty of the Grand Canyon, for her homeschool co-op class this year in school. She was excited to find the book in the gift shop. She also had her picture taken with a little donkey figurine that she used for her school presentation in front of the canyon. I love that this trip made this book come to life for her.
Afterwards, we watched an IMAX movie about the Grand Canyon.
We head home tomorrow. This has been such an amazing experience for our family and we are so grateful to Magic Moments for making it happen. We are so thankful to our friends, the Turner family, who referred Katy to Magic Moments. We will never forget it!
