Katy’s Magic Moments Trip: Day 3

Sedona & Montezuma’s Castle

We headed out early this morning for Sedona. It was only about 55 minutes away. The morning sun was so beautiful on the mountains as we traveled down the scenic highway from Flagstaff to Sedona.

Sedona is known for beautiful scenery and Pink Jeep Tours. We knew this would be an excellent way for Katy to see some of the backcountry. We booked a 7:30am tour. It lasted 1 1/2 hours and it was perfect! The kids loved it!!

Katy got to sit shotgun. She loved every minute.

Once we got off the pavement it was very bumpy.

We traveled up the road that use to be the only way to get to Flagstaff.

The town of Sedona was amazing. It looked like it was straight out of a magazine.

After our Pink Jeep Tour, we went to Montezuma’s Castle. It is a Native American cliff dwelling. I remember visiting this when I was a child.

These are Prickly Pear goodies that we bought in the gift store. My sister would LOVE this. The Prickly Pear is her favorite.

We made an unexpected stop in downtown Flagstaff. The old train depot is still in use by Amtrak. I thought that was so cool.

For lunch, Katy chose Habachi.

We’re spending the rest of our day at the Airbnb. We are leaving extremely early in the morning for the Grand Canyon. We want to see the sunrise!
