Old Bridges
Today we spent the day away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Our first stop was Poinsett Bridge, a gothic style stone bridge built in 1820. It was beautiful. I was surprised that it was much larger than I thought it would be. The pictures I had seen, didn’t do it justice. I’m not sure mine will either.
Afterwards, we headed towards Campbell’s Covered Bridge.
The bridge was just what I think of when I think of a covered bridge. I love the color! Unfortunately, it is the only covered bridge left in South Carolina. We ate our lunch here. After lunch, we all got in the creek. The kids had so much fun.
