East side of the Island

Today we explored some of the east side of the island. The island is quite large so exploring it requires a lot of driving. We decided to focus on the southeastern part of the island.

This is the West Point Lighthouse. It was gorgeous! It was in the Cedar Dunes Provincial Park. The sand dunes there were beautiful. We had a picnic lunch on the beach and we stayed to play for a couple of hours. The weather was prefect!

We even saw a fox there!

This is Cape Egmont Lighthouse. It was in a hard to find location. It was surrounded by PEI’s famous red cliffs.

The first beach we stopped at this morning was Union Corner Provincial Park. I attempted to take some special pictures for our upcoming Ukrainian day. But the kids weren’t quite in the mood. We might try again at another location.

There are so many historic churches all over the island.

On the ride back to our campsite, we got ice cream at Scooters.

There is a petting farm at our campsite! The kids loved it!

Before we left this morning, I put Wild Rice Soup in the slow cooker. It was so good having dinner ready when we got back. (I accidentally put corn in it instead of carrots...it was still very good. Clark even liked it)
