Travel day to Virginia

Today we left Pennsylvania headed for Williamsburg, Virginia. On the map it didn’t look like a bad drive, but we experienced heavy delays between Washington D.C. and Richmond. Jason said that this was the hardest travel day for him.

We got to our campsite by late afternoon. It is called American Heritage RV Park. It is one of the best campsites so far.

Our campsite is concreted and level, which made setting up easy. After we set up, we went to grab some dinner. After dinner, we went for a swim.

Tomorrow we plan on spending the morning at the Jamestown Settlement and the afternoon walking the streets of Williamsburg. The Jamestown Settlement looks so good. Since we studied it last year in school, I decided to splurge on tickets for it.  I decided not to purchase tickets for Williamsburg, however. They are very expensive and I don’t believe the kids would fully appreciate it.

I didn’t take many pictures today, as you can see. But I’ll leave with this interesting travel trailer we passed today on the road. The funny thing was that they were going fast.
