Blast from the Past
A few weeks ago, I realized that my youth minister, Kevin, and his wife, Chris, live in the Tulsa area. The last time I saw them was in 1999. They moved to Colorado shortly after I graduated from high school. My sister and I were able to meet up with them that following December when we went to Colorado on a vacation. That was the last time I saw them. I have such amazing memories of my time in their youth group. Those years shaped who I am today. They taught me the importance of following after God, sharing with others what I believe in and how to truly worship God. I cherish my years with them.
After I realized that we’d be so close, I had to meet up with them! We ended up going to their church Sunday morning. Kevin is the worship pastor at First Baptist Broken Arrow. I can’t tell you how good it was to see Kevin & Chris again! They haven’t aged at all. After the service, we were able go to lunch with them. It was so good to catch up on some of the 18 years that had past. I thought it was funny when Kevin said, “Donna, you’re not quiet anymore”. I guess I have changed. Jason tells me all the time that he misses the quiet Donna. He says I talk too much now.
After visiting with Kevin & Chris we took the kids to see Incredibles 2. They loved it. It cost more than $70 for the movie, popcorn & drinks (sharing!!) No wonder we rarely take them to the movies! But they loved to whole experience so I guess it was worth it.

The next day we spent a quiet day at Fannie. We had some schoolwork we needed to work on. Tomorrow we plan to explore downtown Tulsa.
